Introduction
Is a female illness plan necessary? Of the common cancers affecting women, female illnesses such as Breast Cancer, Endometrial (Uterus) Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and Cervical Cancer have incidences of 29.4%, 7.3%, 4.6% and 2.8%, respectively, totalling up to 44.1%. These statistics, as reported by the National Cancer Centre, highlight the importance of female illness plans that cater specifically to the needs of women, providing coverage for a range of conditions, including female cancers and other female health conditions (which do not fall under the standard CI definitions); and will serve as complementary coverage to your Critical Illness plans.
What does the product cover?
While prevention is better than cure, early detection is better than late realisation; female illness plans provide free health checks for you. Depending on your chosen plan, it would cover female cancers, female health conditions, medical/surgical benefits, reconstructive surgery, support/death benefits, and child cover and allow for multiple claims, protecting your quality of life.
